The Skilled Migrant Category assesses a number of factors including your age, work experience, qualifications and an offer of skilled employment to work out if you are eligible or not.

Alternatively, the Work to Residence category is when you apply to ‘upgrade’ from a temporary work visa to a residence visa after holding a temporary work visa for at least 24 months.

Skilled Migrant Category Resident Visa: Rapid Pathway visas are now available and discussed in the Green List. These visas provide rapid pathways to residency through the skills identified on the Green List.

Work to Residence – Talent Word Visa (Accredited Employer): This visa was for people who have a skill needed by a New Zealand accredited employer. There are a number of pathways to applying for a Resident Visa or applying for any of the other types of visas available to allow you to work and study in New Zealand.
